CEO and Commercial Director

Sebastian Dario Los holds a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and attended a number of executive programs at CEMA and IAE, two business schools in Argentina. Mr. Dario Los joined us more than 18 years ago and has been serving as our executive since 2013. He has robust experience in finance and retail. Over his career, he held a number of management and finance positions in Argentina and Brazil, including companies like Walmart and Home Depot. In 2010, he became head of the M&A department and, in 2011, he became planning manager and corporate management controller for the Cencosud Group, with responsibilities in five countries. In 2013, he became our chief financial officer and, in 2018, he became our chief executive officer.

In the Minutes of Board Director´s Meeting  held on February 24, 2022, Mr. Sebastián started to accumulate the position of Commercial Director of Cencosud Brasil.

Emílio Nunes de Carvalho holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences from Faculdades Integradas Campos Salles, in São Paulo; an MBA in industrial and business management from Universidade de Taubaté – UNITAU; and an international executive MBA in finance from Saint Paul. He also attended executive programs, including the Asset, Liability & Treasury Management Program and the Corporate Treasury Management Program, both certified by the New York Institute of Finance; and the extension program in tax management from Trevisan, in addition to a number of other courses during his career. Mr. Nunes de Carvalho has been serving as our executive since 2014. He is a senior executive, with more than 33 years of experience, including three years as executive officer and 13 years as manager in large, medium-sized and small multinational and Brazilian companies operating in different market segments, including Novelis, a company operating in the aluminum transformation, energy generation and mining sectors; Panasonic, a company operating in the electronics sector; Orica, a company operating in the chemical sector; PwC, an audit and consulting company; and Duratex, a company operating in the dishware, bathroom fixtures and wood sheets sector; among others. In these companies, he served as regional controller for South America; accounting, tax and internal controls manager; management and finance manager; controller for Brazil; and audit supervisor, among others. He joined Cencosud in Brazil in 2014, as controller. In the beginning of 2018, he became our treasury manager; in the end of 2018, he became our chief financial officer; and in 2021, he became our chief financial and investor relations officer, responsible for all our finance departments.

Mauricio Antonio Ungari da Costa has a degree in Law from PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo), an MBA from FGV – Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Maurício has been with Cencosud Brasil since 2007, working in the Legal area for 15 years. Since 2010, he has held the position of Legal Director and, in 2020, he also took over the Real Estate Development area, being responsible for both areas since then. Mauricio has over 24 years of experience in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, capital markets, banking, contracts, and antitrust aspects. Prior to Cencosud Brasil, he worked at law firms – such as Demarest Advogados and Felsberg Advogados – and at consulting firms such as Trevisan Consultores Independentes.
